Hi, I'm Dan, an illustrator based in Wales.

 

I specialise in creating illustrations for children’s picture books and educational materials, with a focus on playfulness, storytelling, and visual engagement. My work is driven by the belief that illustration should be used to make learning and education more fun for children.

As a Welsh speaker, I bring this added cultural dimension to my practice, often incorporating the Welsh language and identity into my work. My passion for illustration began in childhood, where I was consistently drawn to the imaginative and playful visuals found in books and learning resources. That early inspiration continues to shape my creative approach today.

I create using digital tools, including Procreate and Adobe Photoshop, allowing me to produce vibrant, expressive illustrations that are perfect for the contemporary classroom.
